Shree Mahantheswara D.Ed. was established in the year 2004 to promote quality education in Kadur, Karnataka State. by Sri-Sri-Mahantha-Swamiji.

Shree Mahantheswara D.Ed. College's aim is to prepare the students to enter the real world well equipped in the field of education and give their best to society. Empowering the region with Knowledge and benefit the masses. The College is enriched with best of Educational facilities and has a rich heritage of over a decade of experienced and senior faculty members and management. Academic year starts from September & October with an intake of 50 seats approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The D.Ed. Program aims to train teachers for the schools in the government/private sector in India and abroad. The curriculum and evaluation systems adopted by the college are similar to those used in the typical Colleges of Education. Emphasis is given to the development of domain knowledge and teaching skills. They take foundational and experiential coursework to enable them to meet the students with linguistic, cultural, learning and behavioral diversity.
